Suspect area over the north-east of the bassin
The low-pressure circulation, located at 8.5°S/79.1°E according to the 0358UTC ASCAT swath, has mean maximum
winds of around 20/25kt and is still elongated. The presence of strong upper-level wind shear and weak low-level
convergence therefore leave a weak context, and this circulation still needs to structure itself over the next 3 days before
presenting a significant risk of intensification.
The risk of a moderate tropical storm is assessed at low by Monday, or even Tuesday.
